(08-2013) Oligotrophic Seawater, on sea with LWCC technology:

The Baltic Sea Reasearch Center in Warnemünde applies latest detection technique to measure ologotrophic surface sea water precisely down into low nanomol range. During the August 2013 cruise our technician implemented the Flowsys duo-LWCC unit for the use under vessel conditions and for measurement of Nitrates and SRP on fresh samples. The two channel unit is fully compatible to the existing nutrient analyser with matrix compensation colorimeters and provides a very compact solution for two CFA (SCFA) reaction manifolds together with two LWCC long path flowcells of 100cm to 250cm optical lightpath. The 20 to 50 fold increase of sensitivity reuires adequate measures to handling of samples and analysis procedure

(05-2009) Participation to Achema, 11. - 15. Mai 2009, Frankfurt Exhibitions Centre:

Visitors participation to Achema was higher than previously expected. Cost saving and efficient analytical technology as Continuous-Flow Analysis was in the focus of many requests. ALLIANCE Instruments presented the latest developments for the CFA analyser FLOWSYS, its attractive modular concept and design.

Our colleagues from Systea s.p.a. launched the nutrients analysis probe WIZ to the audience. The unbeatable compactness of the micro LFA technique results from many years of experience with conventional NPA/DPA probes and intense R+D activities within European projects. Another focus of presentation was the Sequential Automatic Analysis (discrete analysis) technique with Easychem and EasyCherm pro analysers. Systea distributors from many countries worldwide were welcome during exhibition.

We thank all our existing customers, new visitors and partners for your interest in our products and for joining us during Achema.

(01-2008) Participation to Analytica, 1. - 4. April 2008, Munich Trade Fair Centre:

The Analytica 2008 in Munich showed new optimism from both users and providers of analytic technology. A positive development was the strong increase of domestic german visitors from analytic labs, beside the visitors from various international countries. Alliance Instruments GmbH Germany a exhibitor presented the whole range of autoanalysis techniques, CFA - SAA - LFA.

Systea S.p.a. as co-exhibitor presented latest developments, as the new EasyChem pro and sophisticate solutions as the nutrient probe analyser NPA.

(01-2006) Foundation of branch Alliance Instruments GmbH Germany:

During summer 2005 Alliance Instruments GmbH Salzburg took over service responsibility for German customers of CFA and SAA analysers. After discontinuation of Borgwaldt Technik (Hamburg) activities for CFA analysers by the year end of 2005, our company established by the year end 2005 the new branch Alliance Instruments GmbH ZN Deutschland

We use the deep experience of nearly two decades of application development and service for CFA, to set useful measures for optimum availability of our customers instruments. Continuous development and standardisation of technology and hardware help our customers to follow changing analytic requirements.

(03-2005) UV-digester for T-P, Conversion kit for new UV lamp:
2003 Osram discontinued the production of the E27 socket UV-lamps (ozon). After usage of our good stock on such UV lamps, a new lamp type now was evaluated and released for T-P applications.

Customers with existing UV-digesters can apply for a cost saving conversion kit, and maintain the use of digester with quartz coil. The conversion can be carried out by an Alliance Instruments technician during instrument service:

02-2004) New software and electronics for Continuous-Flow Analysers:
Latest processor technology was integrated to the new instrument communication modul > DT-box < Beside enhanced functionality and flexibility for new analysers, the full down-compatibility to existing customer installations was an important target in the development process.

Using the new DT-box, the system control of Integral (FDS), Evolution (FDS) or even of older Autoanalyzer (ASM) can be upgraded from DOS or earlier Windows versions for connection to latest Windows 98/2000/XP work stations. Previous limitations arising from communication card or memory limitation are no longer existing. The signals of up to 12 CFA photometers are processed simultaneously.
The DT-box provides to user of CFA analysers, to add modern operation comfort and powerful data processing to their well maintained existing equipment. The license of the new CFM 2004 software can be transferred to new purchased analysers.

The functions of the DT-box are available under the new Continuous-Flow Manager 2004. Several new functions have been integrated for additional operator comfort.

(08-2003) New SAA analyser software >Easychem< now available:
The 32 Bit Windows software >Easychem< presents the performance and flexibility of our Sequential Automatic Analysers ECHO and EASYCHEM in a lastest style Windows surface for system operation, data processing and analytical quality control. A detail description of the 1.0.5 beta version will be available soon.

Existing instruments can be upgraded, please get in contact to our technical department.

(02-2003) Expanded detection range for SAA analyser ECHO/EASYCHEM:
In cooperation with well known optical elements supplier the application range of the ECHO colorimeter was expanded into the near IR region. Wavelength up to 820nm are now available on request. This feature was adapted to answer requests from the field of pharmaceutical production control.

Existing instruments can be modified for detection in the mentioned range. Interested users can contact our service for further information.

(08-2002) >HINT< for users of CFA autosampler with magnetic stirring (TP/TN):
To maintain high level of stirring efficiency through the period of sample aspiration and so to keep particles in best suspension, the regular change of glass sample tubes is recommended.

Consider, that glasses get dim from daily machine washing, an indicator for increased Stirring rods surface can get damaged resulting in reduction of stirring efficiency as power gets lost to friction.

(06-2002) Integration of new improved flame photometer:
A new flame photometer was adapted and verified for work with our CFA systems in the production control of fertilisers. The flame photometer provides two channels for parallel measurement of potassium and sodium, the measurement of a continuous Lithium reference assures best long term stability.

Beside the continuous mode for routine analysis a sequential mode allows easy quality testing and re-calibration. The flame photometer works as a simultaneous detector in a 7-channel CFA analyser with the usual speed of 40-60 samples per hour.

(08-2001) Improved colorimeter for ECHO/EASYCHEM:
The sequential automatic analyser is available now with new colorimeter type, able to measure in 40mm optical pathlength cuvette. This unique option for a sequential analyser will contribute to obtain lowest detection limits, required in some fields of water analysis and production control.

(04-2001)INTEGRAL Star module for advanced connection of external detectors:
A new interface electronic was developed for the Integral Star to allow the connection of external detectors (flame photometer, ISE, conductivity) with analog signal to the serial communication of the instrument.
